A review of the Saucony Tempus Running Shoes
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The main thing I noticed when comparing these trainers to other trainers I have bought for similar runs was that the heel area was higher but narrower. You can see this on the picture below comparing the Saucony Tempus to the Nike Pegasus.

MY REVIEW
I bought these in July 2024 as a shoe intended for easier paced long runs. I had been having Achilles issues quite regularly over the summer and I wanted to find a shoe that helped with easing the strain on my Achilles.
After a couple of years of running higher mileage, Saucony became the brand I bought most often for these types of trainers. However a couple of years ago, I started to go off them in favour of Nike.
Some of the reviews I read before buying had mentioned they have helped people who have had Achilles issues and I have found this to be true for me too.
As well as this, I like the trainers I wear for my long miles to feel easy to run in and not feel heavy. This has been another great advantage to these trainers as I have often found that I have been able to run about 10-15 seconds quicker per kilometre than I expected even at an easy pace.
I have been wearing them for 6 months and still feel like I have more mileage in them too and the longest run I have done in them so far has been a 20K.
I’d rate them as one of the best shoes I have bought for long distance easy paced running.
